Despite navigating numerous personnel changes and overcoming various challenges, Hot As Funk has emerged stronger than ever. With a growing fanbase and a string of successful performances, the band continues to evolve and innovate.

Following a highly acclaimed performance at the 2024 Battle Of The Bands at the Mizner Park Amphitheater, Hot As Funk is now poised to leave an indelible mark on the music scene. Meet The Band

ROBERT FERGUSON - MUSIC DIRECTOR, BASS GUITAR & VOCALS

Robert 'Ferg' Ferguson, originally from the Bay Area in California, made his way to South Florida in 2021. Growing up during the height of garage bands, he was inspired to pick up the bass guitar by a childhood friend. The captivating sounds of bass and drums echoing through his neighborhood ignited his passion for music. Robert quickly learned to play bass along with other instruments, diving into songwriting and music production.

Robert's musical influences are diverse, drawing inspiration from legends such as Stevie Wonder, Prince, Earth, Wind & Fire, Sly Stone, James Brown, Nancy Wilson, Chaka Khan, Rick James, and Cameo. In his world, funk music reigns supreme. Robert has performed in various bands across the Bay Area, including a Prince tribute band, and in Las Vegas. In his role as "Hot As Funk" band musical director, bassist, and background vocalist, Robert brings a fire and spirit to "Hot As Funk" band with the intent to ignite the band’s creativity and push the band to present the best version of itself to the audience.

EBONY DIAZ -LEAD & BACKGROUND VOCALS

Ebony Diaz, a proud NewYoRican born in the Boogie Down Bronx, has been captivating audiences since childhood, singing along to everything on the radio. With an infectious energy and a knack for engaging the crowd, she has performed across New York, Europe, and Florida.

Ebony's extensive repertoire spans decades, drawing inspiration from music ranging from the 1940s to the present. Now, as a member of "Hot As Funk" band, Ebony is ready to bring the heat to the dance floor with her exceptional skills and talents!

ISI AROZARENA-GUITAR & BACKGROUND VOCALS

Isidro Arozarena, fondly known as 'Isi,' is a talented musician, originally from Cuba. His musical journey began in his teenage years when he picked up the guitar while living in New Jersey. Over the years, Isi has had the privilege of performing with a variety of Latin bands, enriching his musical style and passion for rhythm.

Currently, he is a dedicated member of "Hot As Funk" band, an electrifying R&B/POP band made up of exceptionally skilled musicians from Palm Beach and Broward County, Florida. With a shared commitment to their craft, Isi and the band aim to deliver high-energy music and unforgettable entertainment experiences to audiences across the state. Isi believes that music has the power to unite people and create lasting memories, and he is excited to share that passion with fans everywhere!

BRYLON TERRY - DRUMS, VOCALS

Born in Miami, FL, Brylon’s passion for music was nurtured by the sounds of gospel greats like Ron Kenoly and Take 6. At the age of four, Brylon was drawn to the drums, and by seven, he was substituting for the church drummer. His skills were honed at Indian River Charter High in Vero Beach, FL, where he credits key teachers like Dr. Ray Adams and Mr. Dave Mundy for his growth.

After moving to South Florida in 2014, Brylon became involved with Trinity Church International, which further deepened his musical passion, particularly in ministry. There, he connected with fellow Soultone artist JP Lemos, enhancing his appreciation for quality sound. Brylon has also recorded and played drums for local artists, including James Tucker III, The Overambitious, V Connection Band, Kizie The Violist and "Hot As Funk" band.

FABRICIO TENORIO - KEYBOARDS, VOCALS

Fabricio has performed at numerous events showcasing acoustic poetry, including appearances on TV Globo to promote the soundtrack of the soap opera *Sétimo Guardião*. Additionally, he has participated in Brazil’s most prestigious music festivals, such as Festival na Praia and Festival João Rock, both of which feature some of the biggest names in Brazilian music. Notably, Fabricio performed at the iconic Mineirão Stadium in Belo Horizonte during the Planeta Brasil festival and also graced the stage at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro in 2022. ZARIA MODESTE - LEAD & BACKGROUND VOCALS, BASS GUITAR, KEYS, STEEL PAN

Zaria was born and raised in Miramar, FL and her passion for music started at a very young age. Her family is from Trinidad & Tobago where music plays a big role in the culture. She started singing in the school choir in elementary school and she was able to hone her skills as a singer when she competed in the Jr. Calypso Monarch in Miami, FL at the age of 8.

She continued to cultivate her love of music attending a performing arts middle school & high school. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from the University of Central Florida and her Master of Music from the Frost School of Music. She is currently the Praise Band Director at Christ Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL and she is prominent on social media where she sings and plays bass guitar, piano, and the steel pan.
